PBS SPECIAL

Donna Wyant Howell of Washington, DC, did research for and has cameo audio roles within the PBS Special “Slavery's Buried Past” airing nationally and continuing to be rebroadcast on national PBS stations and then on other stations internationally.

The program is hosted by Bill Kurtis of Kurtis Productions, Ltd. as part of the Peabody Award-winning series named “The New Explorers”. In keeping with the theme of providing additional pieces to the understanding of African American history, the show's producers have included segments from the first four books of I WAS A SLAVE.
